About: My name is Diana. I'm a dreamer and a sinner. I love coffee and tailwind, and I enjoy a good laugh. Equally I love the sound of heavy footsteps in the winter snow. My goal in life is to make people smile.

Hair-Painted Plates and Cake Stand, 2014by Emily Rose Bourne
Thrown porcelain, commercial underglaze, and clear glaze fired to cone 10. The surfacing process was inspired by Stephen Gammell's illustrations and my own experiments in painting and drawing.
This set was initially meant for serving cake, but as many people commented during my thesis exhibition at MECA, the cake stand could be used for serving just about anything. Also, fun fact: the plates fit inside the cake stand for easy, space-saving storage.

Anonymous asked: Can you make a list of your favorite films?

Surely!
I’m sorry for the veeery late answer. I know I’ve been somewhat awol from this tumblr a very long time and so I apologize full-heartedly. Sorry!
But thank you for stopping by and leaving a question. Hopefully I can introduce you to some great movies you’ve never heard before or in best case let you relive some oldies. :-)

Some of my favourite films I can think of now consist (in no particular order whatsoever) of:

The Before-trilogy - I’ve loved the first two since high school and words can not describe how elated I was when I’ve found out that another one was added.

The Kings of Summer - A beautifully shot movie without any doubt! I’ve always had this thing for coming-of-age movies and this hit right home. Not to mention the soundtrack which just made it better.

Le fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain - One of my all-time favourite french movies. This quirky and humoristic french film was one of the reasons why I’ve got so interested in movies over the years. Definitely a must-see if not already so. And big kudos to Yann Tiersen for the AMAZING soundtrack which fitted this movie perfectly in every way.

The Grand Budapest Hotel - It’s just… Simply phenomenal. No other words needed.

500 Days of Summer - I can keep on re-watching this movie and I swear I’ll never get tired of it. I especially love how the director keeps on jumping back and forth with the time.

Lost in Translation - I can safely say that Sofia Coppola is one of my favourite female directors. When I hear her name I immediately think of this movie because of the huge impression it left on me.

These are all of the movies I could think of now. Maybe I’ll add some later on but for now I’ll let the list be.

Once again I thank you anon for dropping by and leaving a question. And I hope that you’ll check some of these movies out or far better them all! That would be great. :-)

Bisous, bisous.
